Sun and Wind
As the sun peeps it's brilliance over the far horizon
The moon slips it's silvery body into it's watery grave
Smashing against the rocks like thunder the waves roar
A boat, small in the distance tosses from wave to wave
The green lush grass on the cliff top sways in the wind
Yellow dandelion faces smile up as the birds fly by
The wind whistles through the crags in the hillside
An eerie ghostly sound that makes a shiver run up the spine
The lonely white lighthouse ceases it's nightly flashes
Seagulls screech around the glass top, waiting expectanly
The keeper opens the door, struggling against the wind
Throws scraps and watches as the gulls swoop to feed
The sun now shines brightly in the distance
Adding warmth to the biting cold of the wind
The keeper turns to go back inside
All is back to nature, Sun and Wind.
